More than county fairs happen this time of year—conference and trade fair season is in full swing. The Brighterion team will be out and about to talk AI, AML, financial fraud…and so much more.

Technology shows are great educational experiences for attendees and exhibitors alike. They offer opportunities to learn about new products, share both good and bad learning, and network with other professionals who speak your language.

At Brighterion, we have a full slate of events we’ll be attending this year. We’re pretty excited to be sponsors or speakers at many, and even more looking forward to meeting new and old friends at our booths. We not only like to demonstrate our technology, but we also learn what users are looking for in financial crime protection.

This week, you’ll find us at the Aite Financial Crime Forum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brighterion is a sponsor at this dynamic, interactive one-day conference. Presenters will discuss the latest fraud, AML and authentication trends. Thomas Krois of Mastercard will be a panelist on the topic of Fighting Money Laundering and Terrorism through AI. Thomas is really knowledgeable, and we think you’ll learn a lot from his expertise.

Fighting Money Laundering and Terrorism through AI runs September 17, 2019 at 3:00pm–3:45pm. Money launderers and terrorists are using new technologies to move funds to further their criminal activities; therefore, so must the financial institutions and regulatory agencies tasked with preventing and uncovering their illicit activities. In 2018, The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the National Credit Union Administration and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency issued a joint statement encouraging banks to “responsibly implement innovative approaches to meet their BSA/AML compliance obligations, in order to further strengthen the financial system against illicit financial activity.” This panel discussion will take a deep dive into why artificial intelligence should be at the core of any regtech implementation sophisticated enough to stay one step ahead of terrorists and criminals.

ACAMS Vegas is a don’t miss event for many professionals in financial crime prevention. The ACAMS 18th Annual AML and Financial Crime Conference runs September 23–25, 2019 in, you guessed it, Las Vegas, Nevada. Over 2,000 anti-financial crime professionals, regulators, law enforcement investigators and government officials gather annually for the latest expert analysis of this constantly evolving crime.

We hope you’ll join us in our Tech Lounge to recharge your batteries (and your phone), network with colleagues or book an appointment with one of our team members to learn more about our AML and fraud solutions. If you book an appointment, be sure to ask for your free copy of the Aite Group report, AIM Evaluation: Fraud and AML Machine Learning Platform Vendors (an $8,000 value). There are still a few appointments left: SCHEDULE A MEETING
