REPORT

100 healthcare executives surveyed on using AI to curb fraud, waste and abuse

In our recent collaboration with PYMNTS we learned what matters most to healthcare executives and where they stand on implementing AI.

According to our survey, 12 percent of annual revenues are lost to fraud, waste and abuse, so it’s no wonder almost half of the larger firms interviewed have already adopted AI. The remainder plan to invest in technology to solve the rampant FWA problem.

Early adopters of AI are already benefiting – saving hundreds of millions of dollars by preventing fraud before payments are made.

In the report you’ll learn:

  • 92% of firms say regulatory and compliance pressures are “very” or “extremely” important factors behind their decision to adopt AI.
  • 66% believe that AI’s accuracy in reducing false positives is the most important factor when choosing a provider.
  • 74% of healthcare firms who have or will invest in AI think it will help them detect fraud before it happens.
